Ok welcome to the comms centre. In this section of the barracks you will learn how to set up and use your radio.
Ok squaddie listen up!! The radio is a very important piece of equipment it could save your life! It is relativly easy to set up, there are just some simple binds to learn and put into your config file.
All the radio calls are displayed below:
This will say "taking fire requesting assistance"
Command: "radio taking_f"
This will say "Enemy spotted"
Command: "radio enemys"
This will say "Enemy down"
Command: "radio enemyd"
This will say: "I'm hit!"
Command: "radio im_hit"
This will say: "Teammate down"
Command: "radio teamdown"
This will say: "Cover me!"
Command: "radio cover"
This will say: "GO!"
Command: "radio go"
This will say: "Team, report in"
Command: "radio treport"
This will say: "Reporting in"
Command: "radio reportin"
"hssk..3.click""enemey spotted..hsskclick""hssk...right...click"
and so you are cumunicating and working together and as a result winning!
Ok that covers all the radio calls, but there is still alot more you can do to get the most out of your radio. Like adding personalized messages into your radio calls, so instead of just saying "team mate down" you can say "Team mate down, man down! man down! Send backup!" or whatever you want. So how do you do this? Simple here's how the message above should look in your console: Bind x "radio teamdown;say_team Man down! Man down! Send backup!" You can do these to any radio command you wan't, just remember to include say_team because that means that it will only send it to the people in your team.
Ok so what good is saying "cover me" when no one knows who you are asking? Or saying im hit without saying how much health you have? Or even reporting in and not saying your weapon and ammo? Well squaddies there is a way to do the and it the commands are called "radio reportin;say_team reporting in with %H health a %W with %A and a %I" "Reporting in with 68 health a M4 assult rifle with 16 bullets and 1 extra clip and a kevlar vest"
Here is a list of all the variables in AQ2:
These variables allow you to make much more detialed messages, like for example if the main heat of the battle is over and you dont know who is left on your team and then suddenly a voice blurts out "team repot in" instead of you just replying "reporting in" you can tell him your health, weapon, ammo and item. And how do you do this you ask? Simple just combine what we have already learnt and chuck in the variable so it would look something like this:
