I must admit I got my ass whipped at first simply because the style of play was so different. The bots wont attack the same player if its two on two they will communicate and shoot at the separate targets unlike many real life players. This makes ambushes from behind very hard.

When the enemy moved together I was impressed some of the time by the way they appeared to cover there backs the last man would always check his six. When entering buildings they do tend to rush it. Which can be a valid tactics but because you know they will do it you can use to your advantage. Camping around a door will not work. You may get the first one but the second will be in by the time he`s down. When entering rooms they appear to check standard camping positions instantly and apart from small movement bugs looks rather like a SWAT team.

The patrolling was much better and felt much less like the players had motion sensors fitted and I only saw a few times when they got stuck. They did occasionally seem to believe they had x-ray vision tracking my friends movements through walls etc and the sniper would often scan the horizon whilst aiming at the floor of the roof.

Another feature I noticed which although sounds like a bug actually makes them feel more human was there inability to cope with strange situations quickly. Someone taking the standard route will find fire at their footsteps but someone taking a strange route will often surprise them. on occasion when attacking from above at a place I shouldn`t have been they didn`t even realise till it was too late. I liked this it is very reminiscent of human reactions. Your expect people to attack from beside or at an angle very few player watch their 12 o`clock and its often a weakness in the best of players.

The sounds tracking was impeccable and certainly a lot better than mine. Upon opening a door I heard the footsteps suddenly start as they ran to the stairs to block me off. Another man had covered the window although I`m not sure how much luck was involved in this manoeuvre it certainly felt very real.

[...]

To conclude I must remind you this is a beta. Although I cant see them being ready to practise your clan against quite yet and there movement is as admitted imperfect looking. They do offer a challenge and are very entertaining.

And yes, a large number of bots were hurt during the photo sessions (but they fell in the line of duty).
